Description
To Dada, To Mama – Blue Version – Lydia’s Limited EditionLinocut Print – Kids Art Print
This is the first piece in a new series: prints of theartwork by my 7-year-old daughter, Lydia.
Lydia loves to draw and paint. Her art comes from a place I,as both a parent and an artist, could never reach myself. It’s carefree, filledwith unfiltered joy, and full of surprises. I know she won’t always create likethis, and that’s part of why I began this project—to share her work while itstill captures this fleeting magic.
We didn’t want to part with her original drawings, so Iturned to printmaking—a medium I love to practice—to carefully translate theminto limited edition prints. In this series, 100% of the design comes fromLydia. There’s no adult edit, no reinterpretation—I simply served as theprintmaker.
This particular piece began as a gift Lydia made for us. Ilove its warmth, its humor, and its little mystery: why is Mama’s charactersurrounded by a giant heart, while mine appears as what looks like anupside-down dragonfly? A true artist never explains, after all.
This artwork is available in blue and pink versions (pinkversion will be listed separately). Each is printed with care as part of alimited edition of 50 per color. Listed here are Blue version prints. Everyprint is hand-signed on the back by Lydia and me, and numbered. Framed andready to display.
