Another limited-edition linoleum print based on my7-year-old daughter Lydia’s artwork. She can effortlessly create effectiveimages using bold colors and simple, minimalism designs—and here she proves itagain. Maybe her only weakness for now is spelling—but I love it just the wayit is, so I didn’t change a thing.
This print was made using three carved linoleum blocks,each inked in a different color and layered by hand.
About This Series
My daughter Lydia loves to draw and paint. Her artemanates from a place I, as both a parent and an artist, could never reachmyself. It’s carefree, filled with unfiltered joy, and full of surprises. Iknow she won’t always create like this—and that’s part of why I began thisproject: to share her work while it still captures this fleeting magic.
We didn’t want to part with her original drawings, so Iturned to printmaking—a medium I love—to carefully translate them intolimited-edition prints. In this series, 100% of the design comes from Lydia.There’s no adult edit, no reinterpretation—I simply served as the printmaker.
