The Cabriolet-19th Century Color Woodcut by WilliamNicholson

An original late 19th-century color woodcut by WilliamNicholson (1872–1949), titled “The Cabriolet.” Originally published in TheStudio in 1897, the composition depicts a horse-drawn cab with driver inNicholson’s bold, highly simplified graphic style, reflecting the stronginfluence of Japanese woodblock design on his early printmaking. Theaccompanying printed tissue guard identifies the work as “THE CABRIOLET” and “AWOODCUT. BY W. NICHOLSON.”

Printed on paper. The sheet is in good condition, withminor handling marks. Please review the photographs carefully for condition anddetail.
