An original early 20th-century black-and-white woodcut byPaul-Émile Colin (1867–1949), titled “Soir d’Alsace” / “Evening in Alsace.” Thecomposition depicts a rural Alsatian landscape at dusk, with farm buildingssilhouetted beneath a dramatic textured sky. The lower margin is printed “SOIRD’ALSACE” and “Bois original de M. P.-E. Colin.” The lower left margin isprinted “Gazette des Beaux-Arts.”
